School Council

School Council 2017-18.

A visit from Heronsbridge School

Heronsbridge school council came to our school for a visit.  We gave them a tour  of our school and they chatted with lots of teachers and pupils.  We had a buffet lunch and then a meeting in the boardroom where we shared ideas.  We will be visiting their school in the near future.

A big thank you to all who helped raise a massive £624 for 'Childreach International' which is a charity that helps improve African children’s lives. In order to raise this money, the school had a sponsored walk

in Park Howard which we enjoyed very much

The new school council chairman and vice chairmen have been elected.

A secretary has also been chosen and they will be in charge of typing and emails.

The first decisions were to buy balls for the yard and raise money for ‘Children in Need’

Also, the annual Christmas jumper parade was held to raise money for STC Logo

Our School Council

The school council benefits the whole school as it allows pupils the opportunity to make suggestions to improve or make changes in Ysgol Heol Goffa.  The school council members meet regularly and any suggestions are passed onto the Headteacher, Mrs Symmons.

Governors, staff and pupils are invited to attend the meetings

and be involved in the decision making process.
